An innovative start-up business idea for a social enterprise is to design, manufacture and sell low-cost science equipment to help teach science in schools as well as to university students from countries in developing countries such as south America, Africa and Asia. The project is about designing, producing and selling low-cost instruments that could be used by high schools student in their regular science classes or in science project. These low-cost equipment could also be used at the university level when possible to equip teaching labs. The goal is to increase the availability of necessary scientific tools in developing countries to promote the development of science and technology.  It is important that the products are made from durable, sustainable materials and are designed with the user’s needs in mind. It is also important to make sure that they are affordable, so that they can be accessible to as many people as possible.
