TISTR has conducted the design and development of a confectionary-shaping machine for Khanom Pia production which has been transferred to the private sector. One set of machine was modified to form Khanom Pia in the cylindrical shape of 25 mm diameter and 25 mm long, 15 gram weight a piece with total capacity of 1,200 pieces per hour. This would help increase the machine capacity, consistent dimension, up to standard quality, clean and hygienic product. The project outcome has become the new innovation to meet the requirements of community enterprises which can be used for their production for domestic and foreign markets.
